Log output from Outlook after it tries to archive the email. The memory location and encryption key is hidden.Good evening,I am having issue while trying to archive my Outlook email.  I am getting a syncing error and I have attached the photo of the log.  My guess is when the email is referenced in SB, it reaches into Outlook and pulls the information from there.  My assumption would be that the property name is for cross referencing matters to outlook items.  My reading of the log (I could be wrong) shows Outlook tries to archive the email, and it sees some kind of xml tag that associates that email with the Smokeball.ActivityTrackingId field.  This is a huge assumption here, but it seems like when Outlook (or whatever program compressing the files) sees an unknown property in the xml, Outlook does not allow

Have a situation where a lawyer is leaving the firm with a few files. How can that lawyer download the smokeball matter or send/transfer it to a separate smokeball account? Thank you.

I am wanting to do an unbilled time and disbursement summary report instead of the full detailed report (which came out at 100 pages) but this summary report does not give the MATTER DESCRIPTION and as we have several clients with more than one file we can not see which matter the fees and disb relate to (apart from checking each file number).  Is there another report that I can do that can give me what I want - I have failed to find one so far.     

our office is having phone problems (have been for about a week) and we aren’t sure when this will be resolved. Is there a way to send out a text message to all of our clients at once letting them know about the phone problems? 

Hi, does anyone know how to hide “Today’s completed hours” from Time & Fees? It takes up a lot of space and I can’t seem to find any button that enables hiding it from the side. Thanks!

One of the attorneys in our office is having an issue where she replies to a client’s email (connected to a matter), but the response that the client receives (and I am copied on) is blank. Her signature doesn’t even pop up. She had a response typed out and it was there when she hit send. I’ve seen it on two different matters so far. Any ideas? Thank you! 

Does anyone know why Smokeball removed the Matter Stage widget on dashboard. I used this one all the time. First time that I have been disappointed in a Smokeball change.

Hello!  I am an estate planning attorney wishing to use the Client Portal to send executed documents to Clients.  I can create the initial message with the files for download through the portal.  The initial e-mail is then sent to the Client. However, if I add additional files, it does not send a new e-mail to the Client to let them know there are new files available for download.  Further, there is no function that I can see to send a ‘reminder’ e-mail to clients to download their documents.  If anyone has any insight, I would appreciate it.  Thank you!

Hi,When I’ve prepared an email to send and need to select an attachment, is there anyway I can change my default to always ‘Show emails’ when the selection box appears?It’s a pain to scroll through all the documents only to find out that what I need to find is actually an email.  It would be great if I could change that to default to always show them.It doesn’t matter whether it’s a user default, or it’s system wide, my colleagues would also like the facility to make it default.If anyone knows, please share it with me.Thank you

Anyone else find that they have to kill all smokeball process at least a couple of times a day because it wont communicate with word?Its extremely frustrating if you need to open a document quickly and Smokeball chooses not to speak to word in the middle of a conference. 

Does anyone know how to get Prior Time Served (in Days) for previous jail time to populate?

While the current intake form for estate planning permits two people, a couple for example, to complete separate intakes via links sent to them; the process is flawed.The first person or client to complete the intake form will have their details uploaded automatically to the ‘Wills Details’ area of Smokeball but the second person’s details are not uploaded. It also appears that the same form is use for both people which causes confusion with pre-filled data when sent to clients.I understand that the issue likely arises because the intake form does not have the capability to bifurcate when the second person’s details are entered.When will this issue be fixed or what can be done to solve this for us practitioners now.

We work with a contract attorney who bills her time into her own system. We then bill her time to our clients through smokeball. Is there a way to import multiple time entries into SB so she does not have to duplicate work?

I am new to SB and trying to set up my intake forms.  For some reason, when I choose a mapped field, nothing comes up.  Any idea what I am doing wrong?  All I get is what is in the screenshot. 

Newer user here.When posting time, I frequently look at the total number to track work toward my billable hour requirement.  I am surprised that the “time logged” shown on tight hand side of the time chart is total time, not billable time.  Is there any way to make that display default to billable time?  I see the $$ amount there but I have different rates for different matters so that is not as helpful.  I have noticed that I can modify my dashboard to display billable hours, and I have done so, but it would be better in my opinion if billable hours (and billable $$) was included on the chart with “time logged”.

Good morning, I work for a small firm and we will be moving in June to a new office. Is there a quick way to change the address and contact information on all of our forms? 

When entering in invoice amounts in the medicals tab, I want to show payments made by our client.  I know how to add a payor to the line and then enter the client as an additional payor, however, when I do this it creates a “provider” contact box in the contact details section under the widgets. So when opening the matter it shows numerous contact entries for the client--one for “Petitioner” and the others for “Provider”.  Is this a glitch or am I inputting information into the invoice section incorrectly?

Hello, I was just wondering if anyone knows what Smokeball uses for Invoice Number.  I need to add their invoice number to my letter when paying the sheriff’s department for service.

I have two unrelated questions.  My first questions is related to “tasks.”  Is there a way to print my task list? Secondly, is there a way for Smokeball to be automated that when I client is within a certain amount of their retainer, a “red flag” comes up on that particular clients matter so the firm can notify the client and/or stop working on the matter?
