We are new to smokeball and want to know if we have a client with multiple matters, is there a way to create the “master” client and then the various matters branch off of the same client?  Hope this makes sense.  Thank you!

Does the client still have access to the client portal messages and documents after their matter is closed?

Are there are any attorneys here in Colorado who handle probate or real estate matters? Have a Texas client going through probate with property in Colorado, and will likely need assistance with ancillary probate in Colorado and property deed.

Why doesn’t the discovery disappear from your “My Discovery Due Dates” when it is completed? And how do you remove it manually? I have all of this discovery telling me it’s due when it’s already been completed. I wish it would go away once completed like the medical records widget.

Besides inputting the information into the discovery details area - how is this helping us?  What is it doing?  It doesn’t notify us of anything.  Can it notify us what is happening?

Hello all, we have been using the widgets notes to keep key information on client cases easily accessible but have realized that someone on our team (who cannot access the Smokeball app) isn’t seeing these notes because she has to use the browser version (she is remote and the app is not supported in her area). Is there a fix for this or something on our end we can turn on so she sees these in the browser version as well?

I’m a new user.Is there a way to enlarge or zoom a dashboard for a visually impaired user?  So far it looks like I can only add/remove items from my dashboard, but I cannot make the font larger or increase the contrast.Edited to add, I think the solution is to set my computer system to display everything in larger font, but that is not always desirable so please let me know if I’ve missed something.  Thanks!

Is there a way to create a task from an email?  95% of my tasks for myself and my staff come from email.  Going back and forth can be a bit of a pain.  There is a way to make tasks off of email for Outlook.  Is there a way to create a task from an email - i.e. draft response to email, create task, hit send.  Email goes to file and task created.   Along with finally doing something about a Service tab for more than one defendant (or, my practice, 10+), this would be life changing.

For firms using Smokeball, what should we consider when choosing a reseller email marketing service for client updates or newsletters? I came across SMTPmart while comparing options and would like to hear what features matter most. Has anyone used a reseller email marketing service alongside Smokeball?

I am trying to use Arche to summarize medical documents.  There are 10 PDFs, all well within the Archie size limits & I keep getting the following message: Archie cannot answer questions in .25 files.  Please choose another file.Any ideas what is wrong?

I accidentally added a memo Heading I do not need, How can I delete this one, thanks

SB support tells me I can’t move time entries in bulk to another matter - has anyone else had this issue.  I have to go into every entry and change the matter number.   I have $15k of time to move.  😥

Is there a quick way to find details for your individual client success manager

By now you’ve no doubt seen the brand new gradient and logo that is part of our spiffy brand refresh. As we continue to grow and serve our firms, the refresh continues to orient us to our north star: making your difficult jobs as legal professionals easier and more efficient, so you can focus on what really matters.“What really matters” is widely encompassing on purpose, of course, but if you know nothing about Smokeball, you know that we love getting granular and into the nitty gritty. We thought about this for many, many months, and across three whole continents, to boot. For us, what really matters is:the work you do for clients that leads to beneficial dispositions having time to connect with your clients being able to rest, so you can better keep devoting your best self to your family, friends, and community practicing securely and ethically continuing to learn (like from our CLEs!) so that you can keep refining your craft and growing as an attorney When we thought of all of that

HiI have produced LPA drafts through Smokeball which are in pdf format.  I would like to add a ‘DRAFT’ watermark to the drafts - similar to word documents - does anyone know how to do this?TIA

It would be great if Messages, Memos and Tasks would appear in a chronological order when looking at the history of the file. We uses all of those features, yet if it is not included in the All Files, it is impossible to see a chronological history of the file in one place.  Definitely makes use of memos and messages less enticing and less easy to use. They are also not searchable and should be.Often times a pull down menu is not alphabetized (ie running various reports) - understanding folks have different preferences, but there should always be an option for your preference to sort!

There are a couple of old threads about the “New Outlook” and Smokeball, but since they have old information and some refer to very specific issues, I decided to start a new one.  This is to help myself and perhaps others navigate the differences between Smokeball on the new outlook and the old one, given the fact that Microsoft now seems to be actively moving away from Classic Outlook such that it is now less functional than the new Outlook. Here is my summary of the differences between the Smokeball experience on the two Outlooks.  Please correct me and update me:Linking multiple emails to a matter:  You can now do this on both old and new outlook.  New outlook provides suggested matters to link prior to your beginning a search, making the process faster in many instances. Linking matters in mobile Outlook app:  This was never supported when using the classic Outlook plug-in.  It was a promised feature for the New Outlook Smokeball add-in, but it appears to have been abandoned. As per subject line, can we see who voided an invoice? I see who and when it was finalized and when voided but trying to figure out who did it...

Hi all. Kevin Stone here from Intertidal Tech. Some of you will know us as Family Law Voice, the voice AI integration in the Smokeball Marketplace. Same team, same integration, new name, and we now work with estate planning, probate and personal injury firms as well as family law. We're sponsoring Spark on 15 October at the Chicago Athletic Association and I'll be at the table all day. If you're going, come and put the agent through its paces: it answers the call, qualifies the caller, books the consultation, and writes the contact, matter and appointment into Smokeball. The part I like showing most is the callback. Fill in a web form on your phone and the agent rings you within 60 seconds.Marketplace listing: https://marketplace.smokeball.com/partners/intertidal-tech Spark tickets and agenda: https://bit.ly/SmokeballSpark2026
