As is tradition- each month I ask members new and old to introduce themselves by answering a few simple questions. Here’s our questions for February: How long have you been working in the legal sector and what inspired you to start?  What historical case would you see in person and why?  You’ve been given a time machine, it can only travel to courts, tribunals or similar places. What would you travel to see? For me it would be Lincoln’s first ever case. I’d love to see him in his early days, before he rose to greatness. More income or more free time?  Choose one: Work exactly as much as you do now, but earn twice as much incomeor Work half as much for but earn the same income you earn now in that time?

Happy new year everyone!  We have a tradition here of creating a post each month for members new and old to get to know each other.It only takes a moment and is a great way to learn how to make a post in the community so that you’re familiar with the system when you need answers in a hurry. So- grab a cuppa (as we say here in Australia) and answer me these questions three: 1. 1,000 members and growing

Cue the confetti cannons—Community just had its 1,000th member join! 🎉 We asked Kimberly Hall, attorney at Law Offices of Kimberly Hall, three quick questions to learn more about our newest valued member. Community is obviously big here at Smokeball. What's a community you're active in outside of this one you just joined?  I am very active in my daughter’s school community, which involves being a classroom parent as well as part of the PTA.   We think lawyers are superheroes. If you could pick any superpower, what would it be?  I would pick the superpower to see into the future. I like to always be prepared.   What's one piece of advice you'd give to an attorney just starting out? Do not be afraid to fail and start over. I opened my first firm in 2015. Family Law Attorneys - this is why Smokeball ROCKS!

Request for change to displayed informationSmokeball asked for more info to make sure they understood what I wantedAnd… DONE!Ta da! The “marriage details” now will display the date of separation as well (so, so helpful in easily referencing the length of the marriage and time since separation!)Now, hopefully they will also have the decree date soon (as changing a Pre-Decree matter to a Post-Decree causes it’s own problems) UPDATE: Smokeball DOES now have the ability to change matter types from Pre- to Post-Decree with minimal loss of mapping (employer info & real property details) - but that is minimal and SO HELPFUL instead of using tags… THANK YOU @Josh Hehner for your time & showing me what SB can do!

Hey all, this is my first post ever. Don’t know if this is a proper question for this forum. But I do know smokeball is based on Chicago, and was wondering if maybe any PI attorneys in the area could recommend a doctor / chiro to send a client. He does not have any insurance available from the look of it; so it’s likely a LIEN case…
