That’s happened to us as well.
Purely conjecture, but I think once you finalize a new invoice -- even though not emailed or shared -- they have access to it should they have used the QRC code or link from a prior invoice.
Makes it awkward if said invoice was not yet ready for prime time.
This happens if you have eInvoices enabled. Once finalized it is available in their client portal.
This was a new client and we do not use the client portal. This has never happened before and yes, was very embarrassing, as the funds were to be paid at settlement.

Can you please clarify/confirm my conjecture above, that once an invoice is finalized, that a client can view any finalized invoice should they have been sent a links to our e-billing in the past?

The client had been sent emails but this was the first invoice generated for this client - so still doesn’t make sense to me
