Australian Family Lawyers: PartN.com.au and RuffleReport.com.au now integrate with Smokeball

RuffleSupport

PartN.com.au

With PartN.com.au, you can upload bank statement PDFs directly from Smokeball, and receive a first draft Part N in minutes. Every transaction gets categorised into its Part N row, and you (or your client) can use the fast, user-friendly web interface to review and amend the automatic categorisation to ensure you're comfortable with the finished product.

  • Reduce the time and cost of preparing Part N
  • Improve the strength of your Part N, as it will be based on solid data from bank statements
  • Reduce the stress of cross-examination, as your Part N won't be based on guesswork and estimation
  • Get a head start on Part G, with our Part G expenses summary (included at no extra cost)
  • Better challenge the other side's Part N by feeding their bank statements into PartN.com.au

The Smokeball integration makes everything seamless, from creating a new Part N all the way to disbursing the fee to your client.

RuffleReport.com.au

When you receive bank statements from the other side, send them to Ruffle Report.

We'll tell you what you've received, whether there are any gaps in disclosure, identify potential anomalies, and help you dig through the transactions to find the crucial few that matter most in your case. Reports cover wastage, ATM withdrawals, large transactions, recurring transactions, suspicious activity, and more.

Every aspect of the Report has been specifically designed for Australian family law, but we know that every case has its own peculiarities too. That's why you can also use the advanced search functionality to gain bespoke insights into the bank statements with just a few clicks. Or dive into a complete Excel spreadsheet of every transaction.

Again, the Smokeball integration makes everything seamless, from creating a new Ruffle Report all the way to disbursing the fee to your client.

My law practice is located within the United States in the State of Illinois. Illinois’ family law courts also require the completion of a standardized financial affidavit based on the prior 12 months (see attached). Both of your services seem like they could be very useful for us as well if adapted to our locality.

The services could also be useful in other areas of the law such as probate, guardianship, or trust accountings.

Hi @JKibler , thanks for reaching out, and thanks for sharing the Financial Affidavit from Illinois. I agree that, with appropriate support for Illinois banks and Illinois vendors/merchants, our PartN.com.au solution could be really useful in completing sections 8, 10, 11, and especially 12.

The Ruffle Report product would also be super helpful (provided it supported Illinois banks and vendors/merchants, which currently it does not). The ability to run a comprehensive search across all bank statements in your matter is, in itself, incredibly empowering, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

To manage expectations, I don’t think an Illinois expansion will take place in the first 6 months of 2024, but we will definitely keep it (and you) in mind once our Australian offering is a bit more settled.
