Billing Statements

Yes, load a matter in billing (billing.smokeball.com) and select the “Transactions Tab, ledger row, and “statement” button. See figures 1, 2, and 3 respectively in the attached picture. There is a lot of information on it and if you are presenting to client, they may better understand invoices and “invoice statements” or invoices batched with the cover letter option.

Is there a way to email or mail the account statements for clients that do not have email? The reason I ask is because I don't see an address on the statements.

You have to save those statements to PC then email them yourself. There is no email button for them.

You can add statement of account information onto invoices in the settings and then email invoices to clients. But while these will show payments since last invoice, they will not show payments against that invoice. 

This was great information! One more thing, is there any way to email the Account Statements?

There is currently no option to directly email from the report.  You will need to download and send.  Please submit a feature suggestion to add that option here.

Sara, is there a way to include client addresses on the actual invoice statements, and can those be emailed?

Please put in a feature suggestion for the Invoice Statement to include client address and an option to be emailed.  Please mention that Smokeball Billing allows for emailing of Trust Receipts and you would also like the option for the Invoice Statement.
