Question

Can I turn off Task Assigned Notifications?

When someone assigns a task to me, I got a notification.  So-and-so assigned a task to you.  I find the notification both distracting and unhelpful.  Obviously, I still want notifications like “you have a meeting starting”, but I would like to turn off notifications that a task has been assigned to me (which I will see, after all, in my Tasks list).  Is that possible?

Did you find this topic helpful?

@Sam King - in addition to muting certain notifications by type on a user-by-user basis, it would be helpful to consolidate notifications by types i.e.:

  • All “assigned you a role notifications” become - you have been assigned a role in 13 matters with perhaps a flyout to see more information.
  • All “assigned you a task notifications”…
  • All “Assigned you an event”…

Alternatively, consolidate notifications under matters. So if a new matter is opened, role assigned to you, workflow assigned, task assigned, event assigned etc. then visually subordinate those items to the matter name in one grouping in the notification feed.
