New Insolvency Matter Category and Bankruptcy Matter Type
We're expanding into the area of Insolvency, launching our first matter type for federal Bankruptcy matters. To learn more about this new matter type and how to set it up, check out our support article.
Even more Lexon precedent updates
This recent round of updates cover two areas of law for practitioners who use Lexon insurance:
- Family law, including both Property and Financial Agreement updates
- Conveyancing (QLD only)
For Conveyancing, Checklists and File Notes have been updated. For Family; the changes include a new ‘Financial Agreements – Overview’ folder and removal of the COVID-19 clauses, ensuring your practice is up to date with current regulations.
New ACT Forms
We're introducing new Court Procedure Rules and Supreme Court forms for the Australian Capital Territory. These forms are fully automated with the party details and Case details recorded in your Litigation matters.
This is a substantial update so make sure you have a look at the Litigation section of our release notes if you practice in the Australian Capital Territory.
Report Updates
New report in Smokeball Billing - Matters by Billing Type
Generate a report on the billing types used across matters (e.g., Time-based Matters vs. Fixed Fee Matters).

Updated Matter - Referral List
We've added new columns for the Collected Amount and Fee Estimate, providing you with more detailed information on your referrals.
