Presenting the August legal content update! Over the past month, we've released new matter types for Tasmania, expanded our Marketplace Precedents, and made numerous additions and updates to the forms in our Precedent Library. New Matter Types for Tasmania
Commencing our expansion into Tasmania-specific matter types, this month we released the following matter types for Estate Planning:
- Will Matter Type; and
- Estate Planning Lead.
Along with these matter types, we also released a new precedent suite and more Estate Planning matter types for Tasmania will be rolled out in the coming months.
Matter Type Improvements
This month we also made several exciting and highly requested improvements to existing matter types as follows:
For Personal Injury Matter Types in NSW (specifically Workers Compensation, Victims of Crime, Motor Vehicle Accident), the Accident Details layout has been updated to include the Anticipated Settlement Date field.

For Conveyancing - Sale matters in Victoria, the Property Details layout has been updated to include a new section 1.5, to provide for the Commercial and Industrial Property Tax Reform Act 2024:

For our Family Lawyers across all States (excluding WA), we also added the Child Details sublayout to the Financial Agreement matter type, which now allows you to record details of the child’s primary caregiver, educational institution and school grade.

For our Western Australia Conveyancing matters, we have now added Letting Agent as an uncommon contact card:

Marketplace Precedents and Forms Updates
Over in Smokeball Marketplace, Lexon Insurance (QLD) has released several updates across its Business, Elder Law and Conveyancing suites and the Family Law Education Network of Australia (FLENA) has also released a NEW Precedent Suite of 10 new precedents under the new Defaulters List folder.
We have also added and updated a wide range of forms across practice areas including Conveyancing, Immigration, Child Protection, Criminal law and Family law - and you can see the full list here.
