Exporting documents

Since we can save files directly to matters in smokeball, we have no longer been saving them to the computer drive. So, my question is if we need to upload a file to a website (like Chart swap) is there an easier way to do that rather than saving it to the computer to upload from there? It does not let us drag to files to upload either and the only export option I can find is to export to the computer drive.

You won’t see the URL option in the columns, but once you open you will see it.

Hello Sierra,

You can use our Publish Online feature to upload documents from Smokeball to the web.  Follow the link to learn more about that feature.

Hello, thanks so much for the response. I followed the link and I do not have the option to add URLs under the matter configurations tab is that because I need to have permission added to do so?

You can locate the files on your local drive and then copy/upload like normal. Each file as a “properties” tab (right-click on the file) which allows you to find the path to the file on your local drive.
