Precedents and formatting

Hello,

All my correspondence letters and precedents turn into the wrong font when I open them. They are the correct font in the template. How do I change the rules and fix the styling?

I believe letters and forms (or “precedents”) inherit formatting from their “Containers”. To adjust this go to “SB PC App> File > Containers” then edit the container you are using to have the font you want.

Hi @Smokeball.Anonymous ,

@JKibler is spot on. The formatting flows from the document container/letterhead. So if there are issues with precedent formatting definitely look at your document container.

Just to add, it may be helpful to setup a standard normal style. So when you open the document container:

  1. Right-click on the Normal style
  2. Select Modify
  3. Change the settings to the desired format for your precedents.
  4. Save & Close the document container.
