Matters with no activity widget

I'm fairly new to Smokeball, but experienced with a variety of CRMs. I'm looking for deeper explanations than I've found in Smokeball support.

For example, besides the last date a matter was touched, what other filters are applied to the "Matters with no activity" widget? If a matter is in a dormant stage, will it continue to show up in the list? If so, the widget isn’t useful for this estate planning practice. Is there another widget that might be more helpful?

Hi @KD Law ,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience with Smokeball. We understand the importance of having a clear understanding of the features and widgets available, especially as you navigate through the platform.

Regarding your question about the 'Matters with No Activity' widget, I'd be happy to provide further clarification. This widget primarily focuses on displaying all open and pending leads or matters that have not had any work done within a certain timeframe, based on the last activity date. It does not currently provide information on whether a matter is in a dormant stage, and there are no additional filters applied beyond the last activity date.

For an estate planning practice like yours, where tracking dormant stages is crucial, you might find the 'Stages Board' widget more helpful. This widget allows you to see all matters in a stage set, sorted by their progress within the stage set. It can help identify if matters are bottlenecked at certain stages or if there's a need to convert more leads into matters.

Additionally, the 'New Matters' widget could be useful for keeping track of new cases coming into your practice within a specific timeframe.

Please note that the customization of the dashboard and the widgets you see are only visible to you and won’t affect other users in your firm.
