Is there a way to show that a client has been sent to collections, rather than just putting a note on it.  I’m printing out a list of people who owe money and ½ have been sent to collections. I don’t want them to show on the list every time.   Same with someone who has filed bankruptcy. THANKS

Hello @JenH1000204

There area a couple of options. You can mark the Billing Frequency to be on Hold.

You can also change the status of the matter to Pending.  Using one of those options should give you filter options that will work.  Depending on where you are getting your list, one option may work better than the other.

@JenH1000204 Regarding a contact who has filed for bankruptcy, when I encountered this I created a contact named “BANKRUPTCY” and changed the billing contact on the matter to the “BANKRUPTCY” contact. I did this to stop the possibility that we send an invoice or statement reminder. The consequences of violating an automatic stay can be brutal.

@Sara Sultan thanks for the tip on “Hold” frequency. I was unaware of this.
