I have some matters where I need to create an invoice that just covers the disbursements on the matter, and no time and fees.  Time and fees are invoiced later.  Is there a way I can create an invoice which picks up only disbursements?

You only want to invoice for expenses? 

If so, create an invoice, and then unselect the Time & Fees.  The only selection remaining would be the Expenses.  Finalize the invoice; and you’re good to go!
