Billing

Hello,  We have hourly fee cases and flat fee cases.  Sometimes we do not know when the we accept these cases if they are hourly or flat fee.  We will usually set them up as hourly.  After many hourly time entries we find out that it is actually flat fee.  Is there a quicker way of changing those hourly fee entries to zero other than clicking on each one of them and entering zero?  And vice versa zero to hourly rate?

We do edit  the billing type in the settings but the entries that have already been entered do not change.

Hello!  Your timing on this question is a bit spooky.  Smokeball just released TODAY the ability to bulk change time entries.  Please check out this article on Bulk Changing Time Entries.

HI Sara, Looks like the bulk changing time entries would work for billable/not billable but not zeroing out the rate.  We still need it to be billable because we do a shadow bill every quarter that just show our hours worked.

Setting a time entry as not billable does not zero out the rate on time entry itself, but the invoice will show a zero rate.  There is an option when creating an invoice to show non billable entries.  This will just show hours worked.
