I am having a look at New Outlook. We have a number of shared mailboxes. The Smokeball integration doesn’t appear to work with them. Is there a way we can assign emails in shared mailboxes to matters?

Right now the New Outlook add-in connects on a 1:1 basis with the mailbox you're signed into so, as you've noted, it doesn't yet support shared or multiple inboxes.
The good news is that this is on our roadmap and we're looking to add support for it in the near future.
