Hello Sheldon,
Smokeball does not have a specific integration with any specific pdf viewer as we will work with all of them! Simply save the pdf to the matter first whether from email, importing from your desktop, or from your web browser via the Chrome Extension. Once you do that, as long as you open the pdf from the matter in Smokeball, any changes you make will save back to the matter just using the save button in your pdf viewer (Adobe, FoxIt, Nitro, etc.). When working on a pdf document that has been opened from Smokeball there is no need to save to the desktop and re-import.

Not true - that is exactly what I do. And I've used a variety of PDF viewers with the same issue. It doesn't happen every time but its a pain when it does.
Hello Sheldon,
It should work that way. I will create a support ticket for you so that our team can look into why this is not working for you.
@Sheldon what pdf viewer/editor are you using? I use Adobe. Sometimes Adobe will prompt me to save differently, and I have to close a dialogue box then click the disk icon to save back to smokeball. If I use the dialogue box it will try to force me to save outside of Smokeball.
