Hello,

I need help on how to setup a new/custom matter type in smokeball as we currently have a matter that does not fit into any of the provided categories. 

It’s not possible to create custom matter types. Instead you should generalize the matter type as much as possible or select a matter type with the fields which best correspond to your matter. 
 

You can, however, create form folders for your matter type however, you will have to navigate to them.
