Welcome to the May legal content update! This month’s edition includes family law form updates, QRO Updates, as well as improvements to the Probate (VIC) matter type and existing Smokeball reports.

Family Law Form Updates
Following the recent changes to the Family Law Regulations 2024, the Family Law (Superannuation) Regulations 2025 and the Family Law (Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners) Regulations 2025, a range of the forms were updated in the Precedent Library, including the following:

It is expected that a number of the family law forms will be updated (some of them again) shortly prior to 10 June 2025 when the Family Law Act Amendments will commence. We will provide a comprehensive list of those changes once released.
Queensland Revenue Office Updates
The Queensland Stamp Duty Calculator in Smokeball has been updated with the addition of the QRO First Home (New Home) Concession and updated First Home Vacant Land concession effective for agreements from 1 May 2025. Corresponding updated versions of the QRO forms are now available (D2.1, D2.4 and D2.7).

Matter Type Improvements
Probate (VIC) Improvements
We have released an updated version of our Will Details layout for the VIC Probate matter type. This aims to provide better visibility and overall improved functionality, particularly around Deceased and Witness information for automation purposes.

In line with this release, we have also updated our Affidavit of Executor form to ensure consistency with the new fields, making it easier to populate data and enhance user experience.
NEW SA Uniform Civil Rules Forms
This month we also added over 30 new forms to the precedent library for Litigation matters in SA which can be found under the Uniform Civil Rules Forms folder. These include:
- Form 010 Affidavit of Personal Injury Particulars
- Form 079 Draft Order
- Form 015B Election - Moratorium on Steps
- Form 121 Formal Offer
- Form 124 Response to Formal Offer
- Form 088 Certificate of Readiness for Trial

Report Updates
Based on client feedback, we have made a few changes to the existing Matter Full List report by excluding billing data from the current report. Additionally, we have added a new report under Firm Insights that includes the billing details.
The data in the reports will appear as follows:
- Matter - Full List (Desktop Report): Contains Matter-based data.
- Matter - Full List with Billing (Under Firm Insights Dashboard): Includes billing information.
