As it stands, what is your current comfort level with Legal AI? This can be any AI tool that you use for any kind of help with any legal work - Smokeball’s Archie AI, Claude, ChatGPT, any AI tools you use to triage calls for you, anything! And if you don’t use any Legal AI tools, let us know!
pretty comfortable, but I stick to closed environment AIs when possible for work, like Archie, or I used to use extremely niche ones, like if I needed to create a chronology/timeline. I avoid AI for any creative work except AFTER I have gotten all the ideas out of my brain and given it my best effort. Then under some circumstances I might ask an open environment AI to come up with more along the same lines. But I don’t like doing that; it makes me feel disconnected from my human sense of inspiration and wonder and creativity. But closed AIs are the best and in my opinion are the future of smart AI use.
I haven’t heard that many people saying that, but personally I like it. I do trust closed AI systems more than open AI (mostly because I remember being a young person on the Brand New Internet and what it was like back then lol). I wonder if maybe some folks don’t know that much about AI (yet!) to know the difference?
Maybe if it would help people we can do some AI for Beginners or some foundations stuff here on Community.
