Knowledge Sources provide Archie AI with additional context beyond the matter, enhancing accuracy and relevance. By uploading material your firm already knows and trusts, you can shape how Archie writes and responds.
Restrict access to firm-level settings

Prevent unexpected changes with a new permission that lets you control who can view and edit firm-level settings. This helps minimize changes that affect how your firm operates, while still allowing staff to manage their own profile and preferences (for calendars and emails).
Control when client payments are recorded with clearance days
Tier: Bill, Boost, Grow, Prosper+

Clearance days helps your firm record payments more accurately by adding a short delay between when a client pays and when the receipt is finalized. When a payment is made, Smokeball creates a pending receipt that’s visible on the matter, invoice, and payment plan. It will clear automatically after the number of business days set in your Firm Settings (default is five).

To help further protect your firm and client’s data, two-factor authentication (2FA) will soon be required to log in to Smokeball. 2FA adds an extra layer of security to prevent unauthorised access, and it only takes a few minutes to set up.
We recommend setting up 2FA as early as possible to strengthen account security and avoid any last-minute disruption.
