Multiple choice field

I have created a multiple choice field to insert text but I just need the choice to come in not do a whole lot of IF/ELSE/END IF.  This is too cumbersome.  Any suggestions.  Eg my choices are

discretionary

unit

estate

testamentary

so I just need the relevant word to come in - something so simple is so complicated in this program. A simple computation would be great too.

​@LyddyPUP The If/Then/Else statements are not needed in the template itself after you create the “Ask” if the “Ask” is simply a multiple choice answer that inserts a word into a sentence, table, etc.

After you create the “Ask” with the multiple choice answers, stay in the “Ask” tab, place your cursor in the template where you want the answer to populate, and then go back to the “Ask” tab and double click on the title of the “Ask” you want to insert. The title of the ask should now be in the template content between the double chevrons, e.g., <<Ask>> and when you “Show values” or run the questions it should simply ask the question and then insert the selection that is made from the drop down list.
