I am constructing a precedent letter to a client where I would like to refer to the date of an event (this conference occurs in every PI matter) - is this possible?

Hi @Wendy N,

Yes, it is possible to refer to specific dates in a precedent letter. You can use the Ask function to create fields in your precedent.

Follow these steps:

  1. Open your precedent in Modify mode.
  2. Click Ask from the Smokeball panel on the right.
  3. Click Add.
  4. Fill in the Field Name and Question.
  5. Choose an appropriate Answer Type (e.g., Date) from the drop-down menu.
  6. Click Create.
  7. Insert the newly created field into your document by double-clicking the Field Name from the list in the Ask section.

This will allow you to input the date of the event when generating the letter for each client.
