Hello everyone, I am trying to set up a new phone system. I currently have a virtual line. My question is what phone system do users in Australia currently have and does it complement their smokeball system. I have been told that Ring syncronises with smokeball, can record, convert to text and also bills automatically. Is anyone using this service, are they happy with it. All pointers inclusive of fees would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there
Smokeball currently uses Zoom Phones for all of our calls and meetings… so any time you call up our Helpdesk, we are answering your calls using Zoom! We love using it at Smokeball.
Answers to your questions below:
- Yes, all 3 phone system partners automatically track phone calls as Activities in Smokeball, which can be converted into time entries. The only integration that works differently is Vxt. It also syncs your Smokeball contacts to its phone book system, so there is no duplication of information.
- You can record calls in Zoom. It will also transcribe calls for you (but this is a bit hit and miss unless you have an American accent 😁)
- Yes, you can use the Zoom app on a mobile device. I have used it many times on my iPhone and it works well.
- Personally, I have never had any issues with Zoom. We use it every single day at Smokeball and feel that the quality is great for a medium sized business.
Let me know if there is anything else that I can help with.
Thanks!
Emma
