Smokeball Calendar does not Sync with Microsoft Outlook Calendar =

Our Firm currently uses the Microsoft 365 suite family and Smokeball. In the past my attorney has been able to synchronize his Outlook calendar with his calendar on Smokeball. Recently, in scheduling meetings for him using Smokeball, his Outlook calendar has not been syncing properly with Smokeball causing him to miss meetings with clients.

 

Can you please advise as to how we can fix this issue?

I am having the same issue.  There are times that I create events in Smokeball and they show up in my Outlook calendar (which is synced through Microsoft 365, not local sync) more than once (duplicative), and there are also times when I delete an event from Smokeball but it does not delete it from my Outlook calendar.  I’m glad to know I’m not the only user experiencing this issue.

I am having the same issue. If someone sends me a calendar invite on Outlook, sometimes, when I accept the invite, it syncs with Smokeball. Other times, Smokeball doesn’t pick up the outlook event after accepted.

Is there a universal solution to this issue that can be published online or the software updated without the need to open a support ticket? I would like to have this resolved without having to go through the support process. I’m happy to change settings or perform updates on my end. Please just explain how to have Outlook and Smokeball calendars sync correctly or update the software to make sure it does so. Searching for a solution and only finding these responses of “consult support” doesn’t get users back to our work quickly enough.

I have been using SB since 2016, and the calendar sync is an ongoing issue. We have worked with support in the past. It works momentarily and then “breaks.” So we gave upon syncing the SB calendar with outlook. Additionally, the fact that this is a one-way vs. 2-way sync is problematic because there are some items on our calendars that are not matter-specific and/or just don’t belong in SB. Finally, we are a color-coded-calendar firm, and SB’s limited color-coding functionality inhibits the natural way we operate. I would love SB to truly serve as our one source of truth for all things, including the calendar, but alas, each time we test the latest, we are disappointed. 

Let us know if an when SB will focus on calendar functionality. In a profession that lives and dies by the calendar, it is curious that this remains a SB weakness.
