Phone call notes

how are people taking phone call notes in the system??

Anything other than creating memos??

Would be nice to have something dedicated to it, so that it showed up in the timeline and facilitated a billing entry.

Hi John,

I’m not sure if this is the best way available but one way I would suggest is to still use Memos but link the ‘Memo’ to a ‘Task’ which would show in the Timeline and can be billed too.

One other way would be noting them directly in a Task.

Hope this helps,

Sarp

Memos can definitely be billed. Sometimes they can be nice as memos as well, because you can go back and search upon them to see every phone call with a specific party if you have a good naming structure.

I use a precedent word document that auto-populates date time and matter. I then save the file as “Telephone in/out to/from [name]”. Although the automatic time entry and timeline entry look a little clunky (ie. Telephone out to [name] created then edited) it sufficiently identifies what happened for my purposes at least.
