Hi

I have produced LPA drafts through Smokeball which are in pdf format.  I would like to add a ‘DRAFT’ watermark to the drafts - similar to word documents - does anyone know how to do this?

TIA

Hello @Natalie H

As you know, this is not currently a feature within Smokeball. I have passed along this suggestion to our product team. I'm curious to see if other users know how to add a watermark to a PDF.

@Natalie H Piggybacking on what Sara said, if you have Adobe Acrobat, you can go to Tools > Edit PDF > Watermark > Add, to add a custom watermark. There are also free online pdf editors like smallpdf, in a pinch, but I do not know their data security or retention policies, and they likely have file size or quantity limitations, so I understand that there are many reasons to be hesitant to use them on privileged docs.

I am also looking for a solution to this!  It is so easy to add the PDFs from Sb into an email to send directly to clients.  I would not want to have to open the PDF first, add the watermark, and then resave to SB (which will undoubtedly create a duplicate document), and then attach/email to client.   would be great to embed a watermark into the document templates so that when attached to emails as a PDF the watermark is already there.
