Good morning!

There are a number of ways to do this, depending on you preferred workflow, or your current needs.

  1. An invoice can be paid individually by selecting the invoice within the matter you’re interested in, then clicking on the Add Payment button. Under the “Type” selection, you can choose the Trust account you wish to use. This will create a “Transfer To Operating” (for the US) or “Trust To Office” (for AU) transaction.
  2. Alternatively, you can do the same thing but for multiple invoices in bulk - select Invoices from the side menu bar, and then for the US select the “Bulk Trust Payment” tab, or for AU select the “Trust To Office” tab. Here you can select multiple invoices (or all of them!) and make a single transfer to cover all outstanding balances. If you’re using multiple trust accounts, then you can select the trust account you wish to use from the left hand panel.
  3. And lastly, when creating an invoice, you can apply a Trust payment when you finalise. This will instantly mark the invoice as paid from trust. If you’re an AU firm, ensure you have an agreement with your client before using this method though, as this is an instant transfer that will skip the seven day waiting period.

cheers

Sam
