I had a client call wanting me to take a check over the phone (e-check).  Is this even possible on our end?  I know that clients can pay using e-check.

Hello Sharon,

This depends on your payment processor. 

If you use Smokeball Payments, they have extra security which requires your client to log into their bank account.  This means that there is not an option for someone in your firm to take an e-check payment over the phone.  You would need to send the client the link from the invoice or deposit request.  

If you use LawPay, you can take e-check payments over the phone as it only asks for routing and account numbers.
