Did I screw up?

I sent a Zoom calendar invitation through my client portal to (i) the client and (ii) opposing counsel.  By sending the communication to the opposing counsel, did I accidentally open up (provide access to) all of the other files that are in the client portal to opposing counsel?

Hello!

Short answer: you did not screw up.

Longer answer: a message recipient can only view the specific messages and files that you send to them. In other words, just sending a message or a link through the portal does not grant a third party access to the client file in Smokeball.

Hope that helps!

I think it is somewhat confusing for non-clients when they receive the portal shares because the messaging appears to be for access to a client portal.  Is there a way to differentiate the message and view for non-clients?

There isn’t a way to differentiate views, but this would be an excellent Feature Suggestion if you want to suggest that as a change to our product folks.
