Is there anyway to deactivate the use of the Client Portal? Our firm does not utilize the portal since it tends to confuse our older clients. But whenever we send them an email or a text message the inform us that they are being prompted to access the client portal.

Hello,
Sending them and email will only direct them to the portal if you have attached a document using the “ATTACH AS SECURE FILE(S)” button. Sending a text will also give them the option to reply in the portal or to reply by text. There is no way to disable the portal if you use either of these options.
