Does selecting contingency as billing status do anything other than just sort based on the status? Are there any other down-stream affects?

Hello Jackie,
Setting a matter to contingency will allow you to filter matters by this billing type in Smokeball Billing. If you are using AutoTime, it will also let Smokeball know that any time entries created by AutoTime should default to non-billable.
