I was hoping to set up a Task with a recurrence similar to the way you can set a recurrence schedule with an Event. Is this a feature Smokeball has and I can not find?

At the moment there is not an option to create a recurring task like you can for a calendar event. I'll make sure to pass your suggestion along to our Product Team for further consideration.
