Welcome to the September 2026 Legal Content update! This month we released two new Protection and Care matter types for WA, a new Body Corporate Levy Recovery matter type under QLD Litigation, and rolled out a number of matter and form improvements across Conveyancing, Criminal, Estate Planning and more. Let's dive into the highlights below.

New Matter Types

Queensland 

The following matter types are now available for those practicing in Queensland: 

• Body Corporate Levy Recovery: available under Litigation for firms acting for a Body Corporate Manager recovering unpaid body corporate levies.
• By-Laws: a second new matter type has launched under the new QLD Property category (following Strata Advice last month), complete with its own Lead type, layouts and precedent set.

Western Australia

A new Protection and Care category has been released for WA, starting with two matter types:

• Protection and Care – Parent or Guardian, for Children's Court care proceedings when acting for a parent or guardian. This release also included adding the most-used Children's Court forms under a new Protection and Care subfolder. A new Lead Type has also been released.
• Protection and Care – Separate Representative, for matters where the solicitor is acting as a separate representative as appointed by the Court for a child.

Matter Type & Layout Updates

• WA Settlement Statement: layouts now support calculating and adding default interest, flowing through automatically to all Settlement Statement precedents. For more information, check out the Support article. 
• QLD By-Laws and Strata Advice: the Body Corporate Manager contact card now sits under "Body Corporate" instead of appearing as a separate card. Existing matters may still show the old card — this is expected, and clients can add the contact under the new card and remove the duplicate.
• QLD Conveyancing Details: Sunset Date is now available for selection under the Create Events window.
• QLD Criminal – Criminal General: the Case Details layout now allows entry of Court Dates, and Victim can now be added as an uncommon contact.

Form & Precedent Updates

• NSW Estate Planning – Enduring Guardianship:
  • a new Form 2 (Revocation of Appointment of Enduring Guardian) has been added; and
  • the Appointment of Enduring Guardian form has been updated to the latest version.
  • Within the NSW Will POA and Enduring Guardianship matter type we have added to the Estate Planning Details layout and provided under the Enduring Guardianship tab a new Decisions and Limits on Authority - Restrictive Practice section to align with the update.
  • This has also been added to the Guardianship Details layout within the NSW Enduring Guardianship matter type.

• VIC Forms: the TAC (Transport Accident Commission) forms folder has been removed, following TAC's move to online-only forms (effective 29 March 2026). 
• A number of other precedent suites have also had updates to forms, including updates to VIC Children’s Court forms, QLD Criminal Practice Rules Forms, and Federal Forms.
