Welcome to the October 2026 Legal Content update! This month we've expanded the QLD Body Corporate Levy Recovery matter type so firms can act for either side, updated Conveyancing matters to reflect PEXA's new participant fees, and improved data carry-over when converting QLD Estate Administration matters. We've also added new fields to a number of Firm Insights reports. Let's dive into the highlights below.

Matter Type & Layout Improvements

  • QLD Litigation – Body Corporate Levy Recovery: the matter type now supports acting for either the Creditor (Body Corporate) or the Debtor (Lot Owner). For more information, check out the updated Support article.

  • QLD Estate Administration General: the Will Details layout has been replaced so that information entered now carries across when you convert the matter to Probate (QLD) or Letters of Administration (QLD). Will Date, Codicil Date, Name in Will and Address in Will will now transfer to the Application Details layout instead of needing to be re-entered.

Conveyancing - PEXA Fees Updates (VIC, QLD and SA)

From 1 October 2026, PEXA introduced a new pricing model with a higher Primary Participant fee and a lower Additional Participant fee (for all jurisdictions except NSW).

The PEXA fee shown in the Settlement Financials layout of our Conveyancing matters has been updated to reflect this.

  • Purchase matters (VIC, QLD, SA): the Primary Participant fee is returned.
  • Sale matters (VIC, QLD, SA): the Additional Participant fee is returned.
  • Transfer matters (VIC, QLD): the Primary Participant fee is returned when acting for the Transferee, and the Additional Participant fee when acting for the Transferor.

You can read more about PEXA's changes on the PEXA website.
