Welcome to the last Legal Content update of 2025! This month we released a new matter type, made updates to WA conveyancing matters, and made a number of form and report updates.
Workplace Investigation Matter Type
A new Workplace Investigation Matter Type & Lead is now available for all States under the Employment category. We welcome any questions or feedback regarding the new matter type.
WA Conveyancing Updates
WA Settlement Statement Legal Costs Options Update
The WA Settlement Statement Layout has been updated to allow users to select from Fees Only, Fees & Disbursements or a Custom Amount for their Legal Costs. This change will flow through to all WA Purchase and Sale matters. The Default is set to the previous setting which was Fees Only. The WA Settlement Statement Support article has also been updated with the new feature.
WA Transfer Duty Calculator
The WA Transfer Duty Calculator has been updated to not use rounding. It now matches what the RevenueWA Online Services Portal calculator does (this calculator is available to all of the public from the RevenueWA website). The Support Article has been updated with this information.
Form Updates
A number of form and precedent suites were updated over the last month, including the following:
- Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia > Application for Consent Orders updated. This has also been updated in FamilyProperty.
- Family > Financial Agreement precedents: all updated to add Receipt pages.
- VIC Supreme Court of VIC > Civil Forms: A number of forms have been updated.
- VIC Children’s Court of VIC > Research Materials: A number of forms have been updated.
Family Law Education Network of Australia Updates
This month the following changes were released for those that are subscribed to the FLENA marketplace precedents:
- Updates to the following precedents:
- CO2 Letter
- SP4A – Precedent Final Orders
- SP4B – Precedent Interim Orders for Parenting Only
- SP4C – Precedent Final Consent Orders
- New forms added:
- Application for Consent Orders (found in the Negotiations folder)
- CO9 – Letter to Client with Signing Instructions.
Report Updates
This month we also improved the Anticipated Settlement Date Report in our Smokeball desktop reports by adding several new columns:
- Matter Status
- Matter Stage
- Next Event
- Matter Tags
