MVA Doctor in Chicago

Hey all, this is my first post ever. Don’t know if this is a proper question for this forum. But I do know smokeball is based on Chicago, and was wondering if maybe any PI attorneys in the area could recommend a doctor / chiro to send a client. He does not have any insurance available from the look of it; so it’s likely a LIEN case…

Welcome @edblinder ! It’s a great question and appropriate, thank you for asking it.

This is a new community so we’re still welcoming our first group of members. I will keep an eye out for fellow Chicagoans in the PI space for you!

This is such a perfect post for the Community!!!!!  I happen to know a few Chicagoland area PI attorneys and paralegals.  Hopefully @PeterKnuteBerg @jcrannell @BethDealy @JS92 @JMGraham @mwool3  may have some contacts for you!

Typically, I tell clients to see the doctors that they have been seeing on a regular basis.  This will allow you to order records from before the accident too to see if the client has already had problems with the same part of the body.  It’s better to know what the real facts are.   If they don’t have a regular treating doctor, I try to find out why and encourage them to do so.  A person who truly understands their health profile, such as a regular doctor is so much better than a chiro or or doctor on a lien.  Insurance of some sort, including medicaid or the Cook County system is widely available to indigent people in Illinois and especially in Chicago.   This gives them what they really need is healthcare.  Usually, a good gp will refer them to the type of specialist they need, including good PT.  Often these shops will contact you and put a lien on the file because they don’t want to take Medicaid.
