The Community Hero award is back!

It’s our way of saying thank you to the unsung heroes that give back to the Australian communities they practice in. The winner of the Smokeball Community Hero award receives a $5,000 travel voucher to go towards a trip of their choice. Five runners-up will also each receive a luxury hamper.

Nominate in 5 minutes or less

You can nominate anyone in Australia via the Smokeball Community Hero page. Self nominations are also welcome! Don’t feel guilty about nominating yourself - if you have a story to share, we want to hear it. 

Applications close COB Monday 30 January 2023.

We'll announce the winners live at the Smokeball Spark conference on Friday, 17 February 2023.

Here are the kinds of initiatives that previous winners of the award have been nominated for :) 
 

  • Providing pro bono services and closing the justice access gap
  • Promoting inclusion and diversity for underrepresented groups
  • Supporting charities and community groups
  • Sustainability initiatives for the environment
  • Random acts of kindness
